The VCE Spelling Showdown Game is a self-motivated skill development spelling game that can be played by individual kids or students on teams. A "caller" says "Spell the VCE word XXX" and students spell the word using flashcards with both consonants, vowels, and a special card, the "Silent-e" card. One-on-one, students compete against their own previous timed performances. In group interactions, teams compete against each other to find the correct letter or letters first.
It’s not only loads of fun—it helps even ADHD kids to focus, and reinforces long-term memory storage, a requirement for recall of any information.
Game includes a suggested word list, directions for the VCE Spelling Showdown and two decks of VCE flashcards.
